Today I had a tour along the southern side of the Ardnamurchan peninsula to Ardnamurchan point (the most westerly point of the British mainland), and the wildlife was spectacular. Terns, deer and herons, and I’m hoping to get a glimpse of the local sea eagles again this year. The wildlife was joined by a similarly diverse range of domesticated animals like highland cattle and even donkeys. I didn’t expect to find llamas.
