Design for failure
Because of South Tyneside council’s flagship health centre project at Cleadon Park, Prince Edward Road is getting a new pedestrian crossing between West Avenue and King George Road. You would have thought that every detail would have been examined and double checked. But looking at the photo below, it seems that someone missed the bit where a big box of tricks intrudes significantly into the footpath access to the new crossing. Is someone going to spot this and get it sorted before someone trips and gets injured, or is the council going to wait to be sued first?
